Phew! Was the linen closet always this smokey Aunt Zelda--...

... Oops. This isn't where I'm supposed to be.

Well, I said I'd do something so... *PING~ Jukebox is fixed*

*awkward pause, then a shrug* I guess he's in the demon world.

*walking over to look at the jukebox* Hey, it looks great. *going behind it to plug it back in*

*she senses that there is something behind that pause so being oddly quiet!*

*and voila, the jukebox lights up* Cool, that's even better. Half the lights were broken before.

*glancing over at her* I guess nothing I told him on the island made any difference, 'cause when I got back here, nothing had changed. *small sigh* Vergil's a sore loser, and a stubborn bastard. Even if he remembered what I said, he probably went ahead and did it anyway.

Mm. *lost in thought for a bit*

... I missed everyone I met on the island you know. Even him.

Yeah. *close as he's going to get to admitting he missed everyone*

I didn't think I'd see any of you again either. I was kind of surprised I even remembered after what everyone said about leaving and coming back.

Me too. I asked my aunts if they've ever heard of a sentient island that could possibly exist in our world, but they looked at me as if I was crazy.

Which is pretty degrading when your aunts have seen everything weird under the sun in the past 600 years they have lived.

Guess that means you've seen something they haven't. They're probably jealous.

I've been really tempted to go visit Fortuna, where Nero said he was from.

Yeah, wasn't Nero a special case where he IS from your world, but you meet him LATER? Or something confusing like that?

Yeah. He's probably just a little kid now. We never did figure out exactly when I'll finally meet him.

Aww, that'd be so cute! Hey, let's chow down on something while we talk. *pings! Moving aside junk into a big pile and pizza appears on the table*

*smirking a little at the thought of chibi!Nero* Yeah. I'm not even sure I could find him though.

... That's still so cool. Too bad you can't teach me to do that. *heading for the fridge under the stairs* You want something to drink? I think Lady left some soda if you don't want a beer. *grabbing a beer for himself though*

Hm, guess you can't explain the free pizza and sudden clearance of stuff.

Yeah, there's no way she'd believe I decided to clean the place up.

... Anyway, how'd your homecoming go? Was the boyfriend happy to see you?

I was happy to see HIM. Everything was the same when I came back. It's like what the people on island said; when you go back to your world, it's as if no time had passed.

Yeah, same with me. Kind of a let down.
